		<description>GHOST DIAMOND

Ghost Diamond is a set of crystal jewelry in which the "jewel" is a 3D-engraved picture. The series sets to reproduce in 3D famous or historic diamonds that could not otherwise be admired (or worn...). The base is made of black ceramic. Please scroll down for prototype pictures!

designed by de mazières &#124; 2011

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/84023/1068457/ghost_diamond01_800.jpg" border="0" width="800" height="489" width_o="800" height_o="489" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/84023/1068457/ghost_diamond01_o.jpg" align="left" /&#62;
"The Regent" (ring)
The Regent Diamond is considered as the most beautiful diamond in the world. Discovered in 1702, it was set into the handle of Napoleon's coronation sword.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/84023/1068457/ghost_diamond03_800.jpg" border="0" width="800" height="489" width_o="800" height_o="489" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/84023/1068457/ghost_diamond03_o.jpg" align="left" /&#62;
"The Black Orlov" (pendant)
The Black Orlov Diamond is a 67 carat black diamond and it once belonged to the Russian Princess Nadia Orlov. Originally, the diamond was stolen from the eye of an idol in India and is said to be cursed... It is accurately reproduced here at 1:1 scale.

		<description>JAWBONE PRIME OUT-OF-BOX EXPERIENCE

While at Fuseproject, I had the opportunity to redesign the packaging of the Jawbone. Our goal was to take a definite step towards a better user experience and a greener packaging by doing the following:
- reduce overall packaging size (save on material, save on shipping)
- reduce amount of petroleum based plastic (bioplastic accessory box).
- complete new offering of fit accessories.

All of these features were implemented in the Jawbone Prime and Icon packaging. We designed a delightful step-by-step out of box experience, where the consumer would be greeted, and offered to tailor his Jawbone to his ear with a new selection of fit accessories.

The Jawbone Prime packaging received a Dieline 1st place design award.

designed with fuseproject &#124; 2009

		<description>DUNE

Dune is a modern interpretation of the traditional french causeuse. Inspired by the dunes of the Sahara desert, it seems to be designed by nature. The main curve defines two welcoming alcoves that can be used to have a conversation or more like a private cocoon. Dune is suitable for indoors and outdoors and is made of rotational-molded polypropylene.

"Read against the stupidity of television, have a conversation against the autism and schizophrenia of the internet" Philippe Starck
designed by de mazières &#124; 2011

Dune was created using a process inspired by automotive design:
1. I started by creating a clay model that is then scanned in 3D
2. the model being scanned
3. the complete 3d scan
4. the model is then refined in CAD using T-Splines

		<description>TEPEE FLOOR LAMP

Tepee was designed to be the most minimal, transparent and unobtrusive floor lamp. It is composed of three LED tubes connected at the top by a silicone joint. This joint is flexible and allow for the lamp to be collapsed and leaned against a wall or put in a room corner.
Tepee offers a playful interaction and is designed to relate to the user on an emotional level rather than solely functional. It was designed to reflect and support our fast-paced, nomadic and environmentally conscious lifestyles.

Tepee was carefully designed to minimize the impact on the environment. LED technology is the most efficient lighting source to date (5x as efficient as an incandescent bulb and can last up to 20 years). The lamp can easily be disassembled for recycling and Tepee's collapsible design also significantly reduces the environmental impact of shipping (it ships in a tube).

		<description>SLICE COFFEE TABLE

Slice is a coffee table composed of two matte lacquered plates. The color effect is obtained by the lower plate reflecting the color applied underneath the upper one. This technique brings a soft and diffused color to the room in a subtle, indirect way.

		<description>SCROTCH PROJECT

Glimpse from another life... while at design school, I took part in a rather unusual adventure. Francois and Romy, fellow co-students somehow persuaded me to spend my summer break (and a large part of my academic year) crafting purses out of duct tape. Turns out it was one of the most entertaining, creative and technically challenging design activity I was involved in.
We had the privilege to exhibit our work at the Paris Fashion Show in 2003.

		<description>HERMÈS SONATA CONCEPT

Hermès Sonata is a bluetooth headset designed as a statement of luxury and comfort in the pure Hermès tradition. The openwork design and carbon construction makes the headset virtually weightless for the ear and the custom molded earbuds allow for perfect comfort over a long period of time. The headset will also recharge itself wirelessly when left on its base. Sonata is a luxurious fashion accessory made of the noble materials that the Maison Hermès masters to the perfection, such as leather, silk, carbon fiber and sterling silver.
designed with Anne-Dorothée Christo for the Prix Emile Hermès &#124; 2007

		<description>FERRARI MODULO REVIVAL

Whoever see the Ferrari Modulo designed by Pininfarina in 1971 can’t help be being in awe with how advanced that concept was and how relevant it remains. This prototype does not belong to the 70s, it is a definite leap into the 21st century. So when Bastien approached me to help him with his Modulo Revival concept, I could do anything but decline the challenge. His idea was to give a radical fresh look at the styling of the car while keeping the original concept and push it even further. We turned this 1971 concept into a radical ultramodern electric powered supercar that is centered around the idea of energy efficiency. Everything on this car is designed around aerodynamism and reduced rolling resistance. The extremely low profile, the controlled airflow, the sharp back-end edge help reduce drag and improve performance. Like in the original concept, the fully covered thinner wheels greatly enhance the rolling efficiency and airflow. No, green is not boring, it's a lot of fun and it's happening now...
